| Assistant Professor |
Qualifications: Ph.D. degree with first class or equivalent grade at the preceding degree in the appropriate branch (Physics /Mathematics / Chemistry / Life Sciences) with a very good academic record throughout. At least three years of teaching / research experience.
Salrary:Rs.40,000/- p.m. plus allowances such as HRA and TA.
Appointment will be made on contract basis for 5 years. |

| Research Associate |
Qualifications: Ph.D. degree in the appropriate branch (Physics /Mathematics / Chemistry / Life Sciences).
Salary: Rs. 22,000/-, Rs. 23,000/- or Rs. 24,000/- p.m. plus allowances such as HRA and TA, depending on post-doctoral experience.
The position is tenable up to 3 years.

| CBS Fellows |
| The Centre for Excellence in Basic Sciences (CBS) invites applications for positions of CBS Fellow. These positions are targeted at persons, such as College and University staff, with previous teaching and/or research experience, who are interested in contributing to CBS by way of taking part in innovative teaching and course development activities, in addition to getting involved in the inter-disciplinary research activities of the Centre. These are full-time positions, with remuneration that will be commensurate with the selected person's experience. |

| Project Assistants - Junior Research Fellow |
| The Centre also has provision for positions of Junior Research Fellows (JRFs) attached to research projects of the Centre. These projects, which are of a multi-disciplinary character, are undertaken by CBS Faculty and their collaborators in institutions like the Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC), Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR),, Indian Institute of Technology Bombay,etc. Details of available positions will be advertised on our Website. |
